Meet our Pi Chi's

Kaci Singer and Megan Bowling wait for the PNM's to arrive.

All the Pi Chi's in action as they Reveal Their Letters.

The Umbrellas were props used to hide each Pi Chi as they revealed their letters.

The Chapter of Eta Omicron had five Pi Chi counselors during recruitment this fall. The girls were chosen to be counselors for the PNM's going through the recruitment process. Jessica Chitwood, Kaci Singer, Meagan Bowling, Whitley Edwards, and Ashley Mitchell were the girls chosen from Eta O to become Pi Chi’s. Since June the girls have been disaffiliated from Eta Omicron Chapter. On Bid day these women were able to not only re-join their organization but they even put on a reveal show for each sorority organizations. Jessica Chitwood is Fort Smith Panhellenic's VP of Recruitment; she worked very hard to put on a great Recruitment for the girls that were going through. We each had a theme for our "groups" during Recruitment. The Panhellenic theme this year was, "find your perfect fit." Each Pi Chi had a themed section that related to a shoe. There was the Sneaker Crew, Boots, Toms, Heels, and Flip Flops. Each Pi Chi decorated their section to their shoe. Sneakers did a sports theme, Heels did Hollywood, Toms did a Hippie theme, Boots did western and Flip Flops did beach. The girls were very excited to show their letters and re-join their Eta Omicron Sisters. It was an emotional few months but very worth it in the end.

Achievements: The Junior Chancellor’s Spirit Award 2010. In 2009 I
played the role of Juliet in Romeo & Juliet and won a regional Irene
Ryan award and national awards for my performance and recognition for
the University through the Kennedy Center’s American College Theater
Festival (KCACTF). I competed with this award at the Regional Festival
in Amarillo, Texas this past February.

Hobbies: Campus Activities Board Director of Marketing, Church, and Bible Study!!

Delta Gamma Experience so far:
I've been a Delta Gamma since Spring of 2008. I have never felt so loved

and appreciated since I've met my sisters. My sisters mean the
absolute world to me and I hope to guide them and be there for them as
much as I can. Delta Gamma was the best decision I've made and knowing
I'll have these amazing women in my life even after I leave is the
most comforting feeling in the world. How can I worry about what the
future holds when I know my sisters will be by my side?

Goals in Life: My goal in life is to lead as Christ leads me. To lead
and inspire anyone I meet with my story. To succeed with the talents
God has given me and continue to trust Him all of my days.

Favorite Sisterhood Quote: "Sisters are angels who lift us to our
feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."

Summer shows great leadership and character qualities in her everyday life. She leads by example and is a great role model to her sisters. Summer always shows generosity towards her sisters. While being involved in so many campus activities, Summer still has time for her church. She is an excellent example of the five points of the star, and what it is to be a positive influence.
