DG Date Night!

This past Monday was a very fun filled day! First off we all woke up to a good 3 inches of snow on the ground and to school being cancelled which is always a great thing! We were suppose to have a big DG Date night dinner in honor of Valentines day for chapter but since school was cancelled we could no longer have it in the big conference room we intended to! But of course, that didn't keep us from having our date night! Our wonderful sisters in 833 (Kaci, Allison, and Hannah) pulled together to decorated their apartment and to welcome all of Delta Gamma in to have our event!

There was SOOO much spahgetti that we could have fed the whole state of Arkansas...well maybe not that much but Hannah's mom did a great job on the spahgetti!=) And we can't forget about all of the yummy desserts that were made and so cute!! It was a very fun event and even though we were a bit crowded in the apartment it just made it that much more memorable!

Here are a few pictures from date night!

Sister of the Week!

Marie Watterson!
Hometown: Hackett, Ar.
Major: Psychology
Dream job: Children's domestic violence counselor
Favorite class and why: I would have to say my favorite class would have had to have been Abnormal Psychology because I got to learn about all the different disorders and how to diagnose them.
Hobbies: I love to volunteer at the Women's Crisis Center, craft, shop, and just have spontaneous days with my friends, sisters, and family. My family is my life so I would say that's a hobby in itself.
Favorite music: If I can dance to it then I like it!
Favorite TV Show: Pretty Little Liars
Favorite movie: Stepbrothers
Favorite restaurant: Scampi's
Favorite DG memory: My favorite memory would also be one of my worst memories. The time I was most proud to be a Delta Gamma is when my sisters wanted to help me through the hardest time in my life so far. Helping me with my father's reception after his funeral was so important to me. Seeing them at the funeral and hugging them showed me that I had a support system most people will never have. The fact that my sisters loved me enough to drop everything and help me with something so important made me realize how lucky I was to have sisters like the one's in Eta Omicron. Without them I would not have been able to have the day to remember my dad and celebrate his life like he deserved.

AnchorBall Formal

We ended 2011 with the AnchorBall formal put on by Miss Kaci Singer and her crew! They did an awesome job with all of the decorations! A big thanks to the band Doo Froogly for playing! They were AMAZING!!

Eta O wants to give a big thank you to Kim and Matthew Singer and Daisy Simms for helping out with the wonderful decorations! Especially Kim for going and cutting down a tree just to make our "wintery" center pieces.

Formal was a major success and a great end to the year 2011! A big thanks to all of the Alum who came out and helped with the Anchorball!

Hello everyone,
Eta O has had a very busy fall semester and we are excited to share all the great things we have been up to. Formal recruitment was September 8-11th and Eta O was proud to welcome 26 wonderful new members into our chapter. Since then we have been busy teaching our precious new members all about what it means to be a true Delta Gamma and showing off all the good we are doing to those on campus at UAFS. The new members of Eta Omicron are currently in the process of finding out who their Bigs are! Big/Little reveal is this weekend and the Littles have been receiving clues and presents all week from their Bigs. It is such an exciting time to be a New Member of Delta Gamma.
Our chapter is currently working hard on Homecoming, we are so excited to compete in the various competitions and have our beautiful sister Hayley Carter represent DG. Homecoming is October 15th which is also part of Alumni weekend, and to go along with that Eta O has many events planned for our very own Alumni. Our sisters cannot wait for our Alumni to come back and celebrate Homecoming weekend with us. CMT is also at work planning many events for the rest of the semester. We have mother/daughter day October 22nd & Anchor Slam October 27th.

Now that Eta O is back on schedule we will be updating more frequently and back to our sister of the week routine. Keep checking in on facebook for up to date pictures and post about day to day DG activities! Thanks for all of your continued support, we love you all!

Once you choose hope, anything is possible. Christopher Reeve
