It’s that time of year again, formal recruitment has completely taken over our lives and we have all been preparing for one of the biggest weeks of the year (Well, for Greeks anyway).
Last year I was a PNM, so it’s a very welcomed change to be on the other side of the situation!
If you’re a PNM, here’s some advice:
Don’t be nervous, the members are just as nervous as you are, you’re the future of their organization.
- Be yourself.
- Be open-minded, try not to get stuck on going XYZ or worry about reputations, half of the things you hear are rumors.
- Have a positive attitude- If you’re happy to be there, that chapter is going to be happy to have you back.
- Don’t worry about awkward conversations, we’ve practiced for hours on end & have a surplus of questions to ask you.
- Ask questions! We want to see that you’re interested!
Hope that helps! Best of luck to all of my DG’s & other Panhellenic women out there preparing for or starting recruitment soon!!
